NKSA Announces Hiring of U11-U14 Age Group Director’s

Northern Kentucky Soccer Academy is pleased to welcome two new Directors to the club.  After a national search and several weeks of interviews, the club has chosen two soccer leaders who will bring great experience, enthusiasm and knowledge to our players, coaches and trainers.

Brad Gough, will be stepping in as the Girls U11-U14 Director.  Brad is well known in the Greater Cincinnati soccer community, having recently served as the Head Coach of the women’s soccer team at Cincinnati Christian University.  In addition, Brad was also the Head Coach of the Cincinnati Lady Saints, Bishop Brossart HS and Bellevue HS.  At the club level, he has previously worked with Cincinnati West Soccer club as well as TFA.

“I’m excited to be joining the staff at NKSA. The community values of the club have it poised to be a leader in the region, and I feel privileged to be a part of the organization’s growth.”-Brad Gough

David Shemilt will be joining the club as the Boys U11-14 Age Group Director, as well as the Boys U14 Pro Coach.  David has recently joined the Northern Kentucky community from his home in England where he was the Head Coach of the men’s soccer program at Buxton and Leek College.  Prior to that position David worked with the New York Red Bulls Academy, Grants Braes AFC in New Zealand and with Bloomsburg University (PA.)

" I am excited and appreciate the opportunity to become a part of NKSA, and hope to bring my soccer experiences from different parts of the world to what is already a fast growing and thriving soccer community here in Northern Kentucky. I want to be a part of a well-organized and professional group that provides the opportunity for each young soccer player to grow both on and off the field and I feel NKSA is a good fit to provide just that, hence I am looking forward to helping to continually build the club and it's widening reputation". –David Shemilt

On the hiring of both Brad and David, NKSA Director of Coaching says, “I am thrilled to have Brad and David joining our staff and am excited about what they can bring to our programs.  I believe their level of professionalism, exceptionable knowledge and experience in the game and their desire to see players improve will continue to push NKSA in the direction that the previous staff envisioned and began.”

Both David and Brad will be on the fields during upcoming Age Group Combines and Tryouts.  Please join us in welcoming them to our club and our communities.
