Why the NKSA YDA works? The NKSA YDA teaches our youngest players the FUNdamentals of the game. We want to instill a love of the game while teaching the building blocks necessary for players to succeed at a high level when they are older. Without the pressure of league standings and official game results, players learn good practice habits and skills. Players still learn how to "win" while developing soccer skills through the various small sided games and matches they play as part of the YDA, but the program will always focus on allowing players the opportunity to be creative and try new skills without fear of failure.
On a recreational team already? The YDA is a great supplement to recreational soccer. Players receive professional training and skill development without leaving their current recreational team. The YDA will keep a very flexible training schedule with the same or similar themes taught for an entire week so players can attend the sessions that are convenient for their schedule and not miss their team practice.
